A STUDY IN TEXT PLACEMENT
Created in CorelDRAW X4.
This map provided exposure to various tools within CorelDRAW - all place dots and text were inserted manually, the road networks and watercourses were edited to remove breaks and flaws, and colours chosen. It was necessary to reference topographic maps to place points and apply toponyms.
It was a strong lesson in appropriate text placement and layer management.
A STUDY IN COLOUR SCHEMES
Created in CorelDRAW X4 and ArcMap 9.2.
The primary aim of this project was t0 study various colour schemes and their role in conveying information. Though using such a scheme for a conventional map is unlikely it was valuable to learn the theory behind such colour choice and how it could be applied in specific situations.
